BETTER BORROW APP
case study
Problem
The challenge of tracking borrowed and loaned items, such as tools, books, and various possessions, was a common issue faced by many individuals. People often struggled to remember whom they had lent items to or borrowed from, leading to inconvenience, strain on relationships, and loss of valuable possessions. The need for a solution to efficiently manage these transactions and foster better communication became evident.
SOLUTION & IMPACT
To address this challenge, I initiated the development of a user-friendly app that aimed to revolutionize the way people borrowed and loaned items. Through thorough research and user interviews, I identified pain points and designed a solution that would serve as a centralized platform for tracking such transactions. The app allowed users to log items, record loaned and borrowed dates, set reminders, and maintain a clear history of interactions. By implementing features like notifications, user profiles, and robust search functionality, the app aimed to streamline the lending and borrowing process, improve accountability, and enhance relationships among users.
MY ROLE
- User Research
- User Experience
- Visual Design
I played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and designing the lending and borrowing app. I led the ideation phase to define the app’s core features and functionalities. I created wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes that visualized the app’s seamless user experience. Through iterative design and usability testing, I refined the interface to ensure its intuitiveness and effectiveness in solving the problem at hand.
